Terms of service

Last updated 28 September 2026. HuntPulse is operated by Cameron Gillum d/b/a HuntPulse. Questions: info@huntpulse.club. Using HuntPulse means accepting these terms.

What the service is

HuntPulse estimates how good hunting conditions are likely to be at a place you specify, for a species you choose, and delivers that estimate as a score and a calendar. It combines public weather data, terrain, astronomical timing, published research on animal behaviour, and whatever you log yourself.

It is an estimate, not a promise. A high score is not a prediction that you will see an animal, and a low one is not a reason to stay home if you want to hunt. Wildlife does not read forecasts. Treat the number as one more input alongside your own knowledge of your ground, which will usually be better than ours.

The same goes for everything built on the score: the sit recommendations, the explanation of what is holding a day back, the note of how settled a forecast is, and hunt alert emails. An alert is a convenience, not a service level — it can arrive late, or not at all if a weather source or our email provider is unavailable, and a day can change after an alert about it was sent. The calendar and the site are updated every morning and are the numbers to go by. If you set your own rut date for a property, the scores for that property are timed to the date you entered.

Where we fill in season dates from a state’s published regulations, they are copied by hand, can be wrong or out of date, and do not cover everything the regulations say — antlerless days, bag limits, public-land rules and local exceptions among them. They are a convenience, not legal advice, and the state’s own regulations always govern. Where a food reading comes from USDA crop harvest figures, the figure is USDA’s and the reading of it is ours; it describes the state, not your ground. This product uses the NASS API but is not endorsed or certified by NASS. The accuracy figures we publish describe what hunters who logged their sits reported; they are not a promise about any day or any piece of ground.

Who may use it

Hunting law is your responsibility

HuntPulse is not a legal reference and must never be used as one. Specifically:

You are responsible for knowing and following the law where you hunt, for having permission to be where you are, and for hunting safely.

Public land

HuntPulse can name the public unit a pin falls inside and draw an approximate outline of it. That feature is a convenience for finding your way around a map. It is not a boundary determination, not a permit, and not advice about where you may hunt.

BOUNDARIES SHOWN FOR PUBLIC LAND ARE APPROXIMATE AND MAY BE INCOMPLETE OR WRONG. BEING INSIDE ONE IS NOT PERMISSION TO HUNT.

Specifically, and without limiting anything else in these terms:

Before you hunt public ground, confirm the unit boundary, the season and the rules against the managing agency’s own current map and regulations. That confirmation is your responsibility on every trip, not once when you set the location up.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Cameron Gillum d/b/a HuntPulse IS NOT RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR TRESPASS ONTO PRIVATE OR CLOSED LAND, CITATIONS, FINES, ARREST, PROSECUTION, LOSS OR SUSPENSION OF HUNTING PRIVILEGES OR LICENCES, CONFISCATION OF EQUIPMENT OR GAME, EJECTION FROM AN AREA, PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF ANY BOUNDARY, UNIT NAME, ACREAGE, MARKER, ROUTE OR MAP SHOWN IN HUNTPULSE, WHETHER OR NOT THAT INFORMATION WAS INACCURATE, INCOMPLETE OR OUT OF DATE.

Listing public ground in the directory does not mean we have checked that it is open, that it is huntable, or that the person who listed it has any right to be there. A listing is a statement by one hunter that they are scoring a place. It is not permission, and it is not a recommendation to go there.

Your account

Acceptable use

You agree not to do any of the following, and not to help anyone else do them:

What you own, and what you let us do with it

Your content stays yours. The locations you add, the boundaries you draw, the markers you place and the journal you keep belong to you. We claim no ownership of any of it.

To run the service we need a narrow licence to handle it: you grant HuntPulse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, encrypt, transmit and process your content solely to operate, secure and support the service and to produce the forecasts and calendars you asked for. That licence exists for no other purpose. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups until they age out and for records we are required to keep.

What we own

The service, its software, its design, the HuntPulse name and logo, and the scoring methodology — the factors, weights, windows and the way they combine — are owned by Cameron Gillum d/b/a HuntPulse and protected by copyright, trade secret and trademark law. © 2025–2026 Cameron Gillum. All rights reserved.

You get a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for your own hunting while your account is in good standing. Nothing here transfers any ownership to you, and no rights are granted except the ones stated. Forecasts and scores are licensed for your own use, not for redistribution or resale.

Third-party data and software the service relies on stay the property of their owners and carry their own terms and required attributions. These are listed on the credits and data sources page, which forms part of these terms.

Feedback

If you send us a suggestion, bug report or idea, we may use it without restriction and without owing you anything for it. You are not obliged to send feedback, and you should not send anything you consider confidential or want to be paid for. This does not give us any rights in your locations, boundaries or journal, which are covered above.

Billing

SUBSCRIPTIONS RENEW AUTOMATICALLY. AT THE END OF EACH TERM YOUR SUBSCRIPTION RENEWS FOR ANOTHER TERM OF THE SAME LENGTH, AND A NEW INVOICE IS RAISED, UNTIL YOU CANCEL. YOU MAY CANCEL AT ANY TIME FROM YOUR ACCOUNT PAGE, AND CANCELLING IS NO HARDER THAN SIGNING UP.

Your term depends on the plan and the billing cadence you chose. Renewal raises an invoice for the next term at the rate then in force; nothing is charged to a card, because we do not hold one — see below.

How to cancel

Open your account page and choose “Stop billing” on the plan panel. That ends the subscription at the end of the term you have paid for: the calendars keep working until then, and no further invoice is raised. You do not need to email us, and you do not need to delete your account — deleting an account is a separate, destructive action that also removes your ground, your boundaries and your journal.

Availability

HuntPulse depends on services we do not run — weather providers, mapping data, Google Calendar. When one is unavailable the forecast may be delayed or scored without that input, in which case the app says which factors were missing. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and there is no uptime commitment.

We may change, add or remove features, and may suspend the service for maintenance. If we discontinue the service altogether we will give reasonable notice and refund any period paid for but not delivered.

Suspension and termination

Deletion

You may delete a location or your account at any time. Deleting a private location destroys its encrypted coordinates permanently and cannot be undone — that is deliberate. Billing records are retained as long as required.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE, THE SCORES, THE FORECASTS AND ALL DATA ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Cameron Gillum d/b/a HuntPulse DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY SCORE, FORECAST, BOUNDARY, PUBLIC-LAND DESIGNATION, SHOOTING-LIGHT WINDOW OR OTHER OUTPUT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR CURRENT.

Some states do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits a warranty that cannot lawfully be limited.

Assumption of risk

Hunting is a physically demanding activity in remote terrain with firearms or archery equipment, and it carries an inherent risk of serious injury or death. You accept that risk entirely. HuntPulse tells you what the weather is likely to do; it does not make the woods safe, does not know the condition of a treestand, does not know where anyone else is hunting, and is not a navigation, mapping-for-safety or emergency tool. Do not rely on it to get you out.

Liability

HuntPulse is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Cameron Gillum d/b/a HuntPulse is not liable for any loss arising from use of the service — including a wasted trip, a missed opportunity, a decision made on the basis of a score, a trespass, or any injury or legal consequence arising from hunting.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Cameron Gillum d/b/a HuntPulse WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS.

These limits apply to every theory of liability — contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or otherwise — and survive any failure of a limited remedy. Some states do not allow the limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence where that limitation is not permitted.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cameron Gillum d/b/a HuntPulse from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, your content, your breach of these terms, your hunting activity, any trespass or wildlife offence, or your infringement of anyone’s rights. We may take over the defence of any such claim, and you agree not to settle it in a way that binds us without our consent.

Copyright complaints

If you believe material on HuntPulse infringes your copyright, send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to info@huntpulse.club (post: 2135 Spring Grv E, Mobile, AL 36695) including:

We remove or disable material that is the subject of a valid notice, and we may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. Knowingly sending a false notice carries liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

Governing law and where disputes are heard

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Before filing anything, please email info@huntpulse.club and give us 30 days to sort it out. Most problems are a misunderstanding about billing and are fixed in a day.

If that fails, you and Cameron Gillum d/b/a HuntPulse agree that any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Alabama, and both of us consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Either of us may still bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either may seek an injunction to protect intellectual property or account security anywhere. Any claim must be brought within one year of when it arose or it is waived, except where a longer period is required by law.

The rest of it

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted here with a new date, and where the change matters we will email the address on your account. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it; if you do not accept it, stop using the service and cancel.
